CocoaNymph Chocolate and BC Wines from Cassandra Anderton

Reserve Pinot Noir 2007 (750 ml bottle)  $19.99

Aromas of dusty raspberries, sous bois and game.  A mix of savoury and red fruit flavours.  Lively acidity and mild tannins framing the mouthfeel.  Pleasant lingering length. 2 years in barrel.  Made from 83% certified organic fruit.

Pairing with: Espionage Bar. Created for Ayala Moriel Parfums and based on Ayala’s Espionage perfume, this bar is a 64% dark chocolate with essence of jasmine, juniper, and smoked sea salt. This is a new product, being released November 16th, 2010.

Desert Hills 2007 Merlot ($24.90) # 206110

Deep-colored, full bodied with black currant, black berry, black cherry, toasty, cloves and vanilla. Pairs well with veal, pork, lamb, beef and mature hard cheeses. Decant for an hour before serving.

Pairing with  brand new creation: Candied Jalapeno and Blueberry Bonbon! THe candied peppers add a touch of smokiness to this piece while the blueberry brings out the fruitiness in the wine.

Dessert Wine

Pinot Noir “Sweet Tooth Series” Certified Organic Icewine 2007

(200 ml bottle)  $29.99

The certified organic Pinot Noir grapes used to produce this wine were grown on the Westside of Kelowna. The grapes matured in the sunny Okanagan Valley were left to freeze to death for your selfish pleasure.

A nose of peaches and cream, apricots and jasmine with a flavour of creamy strawberry custard. Bracing acidity with a deliciously long finish.

Pairing with Octarine: Dark chocolate Ganache with Passionfruit Puree in a dark chocolate shell. This is one of the surprising stars of our collection, always available online or in-store.

Saturna Island Family Estate Winery Vinsera “Port-Style” Dessert Wine (non vintage) $19.99 534453 (375 ml)

2007 marks the first year for our highly awaited “Vinsera”; a delicious and rich fortified wine made from 100% Saturna Island estate grown Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. This fortified wine has the typical nutty and butterscotch essences of port wine, with a rounded smoothness and full body. Oak aging enhances the toffee and caramel flavours and aromas. This wine is an excellent accompaniment to cream-based desserts such as berry cheesecake, or classic crème brulee. Vinsera can also be served chilled, and enjoyed with toasted toasted almonds, pecans, and pistachio nuts.

Paired with: Sesame Bark - a not quite white sesame bark with sesame seeds and salt. This is a brand new product making its debut today. Inspired by Rachel’s recent trip to Italy. The creaminess of the white chocolate and the nuttiness of the seeds make it a great accompaniment for this wine.

Ravens Ridge Cidery – Kelowna BC

Braeburn Iced Cider – Bronze 2010 OK Fall Wine Festival

2008

$37.95/375ml

$27.95/200ml

Paired with: Our signature piece, the SeaNymph Bar. The saltiness and toffee of the bar are great pairings for the slightly salted tang of the cider - a great option for dessert!

Each seminar ends with a chocolate infused dessert, created by our culinary arts students, and a selection of teas and coffee. Every seminar guest is invited to tour the Mackin Heritage Home and Toy Museum, included in the ticket price
